Description
An absorptive neutral density (ND) filter uses absorbing glass to reduce the light passing through without shifting its colour balance. Because the light is absorbed rather than reflected, it sends no strong reflection back into the system. Strength is given as optical density, OD = log₁₀(1/T): OD 1 transmits 10%, OD 2 transmits 1%. The mount makes it simple to fit into an existing set-up.
