Description
An Amici roof prism is a right-angle prism whose hypotenuse is cut as a 90° roof. It turns the beam through 90° while inverting and reversing the image, which is exactly the correction a telescope objective needs for an upright, correctly oriented view. Compact and light, it is used in spotting scopes, binoculars and other viewing instruments.
