Description
A Dove prism is a truncated right-angle prism. Light enters one sloped end face, reflects once off the long base by total internal reflection and leaves through the other end face in its original direction. The image is inverted, and rotating the prism about the beam axis rotates the image at twice that angle. It is used for image rotation, beam steering and alignment.
