Description
A positive achromatic lens, or achromat, pairs two glasses with different dispersion, typically a crown and a flint element. Together they bring two wavelengths to a common focus, sharply reducing chromatic aberration (colour fringing) and also lowering spherical aberration. Use it for sharp, colour-true imaging in microscopy, photography and precision optical systems.
